Child safety
This page is Proof’s published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). It covers the Proof website and the Proof phone app. Proof is made by Candor and Innovation.
What is not allowed
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is not allowed on Proof. That includes content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a child — including grooming, sextortion, trafficking a child for sex, or sharing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
CSAM is any visual depiction of a minor in sexually explicit conduct. Photos, video, and computer-generated images all count. It is illegal. It is banned on Proof. We remove it when we know about it.
These standards apply even though Proof is not for children. Age gates do not change this.
Who Proof is for
Proof is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly create accounts for them. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we delete it.
How to report
In the phone app, tap Report a child safety concern on You (the avatar). It opens a mail to rk@candorandinnovation.com.
On the website, or if the in-app path fails, write to rk@candorandinnovation.com. Put “Child safety report (Proof)” in the subject. Include links or screenshots if you have them. Do not send illegal images to that inbox — describe where they appeared.
What we do
We do not run an automated CSAM scanner. A person at Proof reads reports sent to rk@candorandinnovation.com. When we have actual knowledge of CSAE or CSAM, that person removes the content, closes the account if needed, and keeps what is required to tell the authorities.
Confirmed CSAM is reported by that person to the relevant authority. In India: the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in). Where US law applies: NCMEC.
